Near the village of Zhuangerln, at Ningjin in the province of Hebei in China, Saints Teresa Chen Jinxi and Rose Chen Aixi, virgins and martyrs. These two sisters, during the persecution carried out by the followers of the “Yihetuan” (Boxers), in order to preserve the honor of their virginity and the Christian faith, bravely resisted the corruption and barbarous savagery of their persecutors and were run through by the thrusts of lances.
