At Kokura, likewise in Japan, the blessed martyrs Simon Bokusai Kyota, a catechist, and Magdalene, his wife; Thomas Gengoro and Mary, also husband and wife; and James their son, still a young child, who by decree of the prefect Yetsundo were crucified together, head downwards, in hatred of the Christian name.
