Carlo Antonio Divini was born at San Severino Marche on 1 March 1653. Orphaned at an early age, he was raised by his maternal uncle, archdeacon of the cathedral of San Severino Marche. At the age of seventeen he entered the Friars Minor, taking the name Brother Pacificus. Appointed vicar of the convent of San Severino, he was later transferred to the convent of Forano, where he divided his days between prayer and apostolic work, embarking on a tireless, long, and devoted service of the apostolate. Declining health brought him to his death on 24 September 1721.
