On a prison ship lying at anchor off Rochefort on the coast of France, Blessed Nicolas Savouret, of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, and Claude Béguignot, of the Carthusian Order, priests and martyrs, who, while the French Revolution raged, were held in squalid captivity out of hatred for the priesthood and were carried off by disease.
