Blessed Nicephorus Díez Tejerina and Companions, Martyrs of Spain

In the city of Manzanares in the region of New Castile, Spain, the blessed martyrs Nicephorus of Jesus and Mary (Vincent) Díez Tejerina, priest, and five companions of the Congregation of the Passion, who, in time of persecution, having remained faithful to their religious vocation, were shot and merited to receive their crowns.

At Carabanchel Bajo near Madrid, also in Spain, in the same persecution, the blessed martyrs Germanus of Jesus and Mary (Emmanuel) Pérez Giménez, priest, and eight companions, religious of the same Congregation of the Passion, who as victors completed their struggle for Christ.
