In the village of Hujiacun near Shenxian, likewise in Hebei, China, Saint Mary Guo Lizhi, martyr, who in the same persecution, like another mother of the Maccabees, strengthened seven of her own family, whom she accompanied to the place of execution, in constancy of soul, asking that she herself be put to death last of all; and at length she followed those whom she had sent ahead to heaven.
