In the village of Dujiadun, likewise near Shenxian, Saints Mary Du Jianshi and her daughter Magdalene Du Fengju, martyrs, who in the same persecution were dragged from the reed-bed in which they had hidden themselves and died for the name of Christ, the one cast into the grave while still breathing.
