Saint Margaret of Hungary

At Buda in Hungary, Saint Margaret, virgin. The daughter of King Béla IV, she was vowed to God by her parents for the deliverance of her homeland from the Tartars and as an infant was entrusted to the nuns of the Order of Preachers. At the age of twelve she gave herself wholly to the Lord by religious profession, striving tirelessly to be conformed to Christ crucified.
