At Cambrai in France, Blessed Magdalene Fontaine, Frances Lanel, Teresa Fantou, and Joan Gérard, virgins and martyrs, who, Daughters of Charity, were condemned to death in hatred of the Church during the upheaval of the French Revolution, and, mockingly crowned with a rosary, were led to execution.
