At Nagasaki in Japan, the blessed martyrs Louis Flores, priest of the Order of Preachers, Peter de Zúñiga, priest of the Order of Hermits of Saint Augustine, and thirteen companions, Japanese sailors, who, set ashore in the harbor and immediately arrested, through various torments completed together one and the same martyrdom for the Christian faith.
The names of the companions are: Blessed Joachim Hirayama, Leo Sukeyemon, John Soyemon, Michael Díaz, Anthony Yamada, Mark Takenoshima Shinyemon, Thomas Koyanagi, James Matsuo Denshi, Lawrence Rokuyemon, Paul, John Yago, John Nagata Matakichi, and Bartholomew Mohioye.
