Near Mengo in Uganda, the passion of Saint John Mary, surnamed Muzeyi, that is, “the Elder,” on account of his maturity of spirit. A servant of the king, once he had become a Christian he would not flee the persecution, but of his own accord professed the faith of Christ before the chief minister of King Mwanga; and so, beheaded, he fell asleep, the last victim of this persecution.
