On a prison ship anchored off the port of Rochefort in France, Blessed John Baptist Vernoy de Montjournal, priest and martyr, who, a canon of Moulins, was during the time of the French Revolution condemned to the prison ships on account of his priesthood, and, worn out by a wasting disease, died.
