On the open sea off Rochefort on the coast of France, Blessed John Baptist Duverneuil, of the Order of Discalced Carmelites, and Peter Aredius Labrouhe de Laborderie, canon of Auvergne, priests and martyrs, who, when the French Revolution was raging, were together imprisoned on a prison ship on account of their priesthood and died worn out by disease.
