In the city of Bagrevand in Greater Armenia, Saint Isaac, bishop, who, to foster the Christian life of his people, translated the Sacred Scriptures and the Liturgy into the Armenian tongue. He held fast to the faith confirmed at the Council of Ephesus but, soon driven from his see, died in exile.
