At Utrecht in Gelderland, within Austrasia, Saint Gregory, abbot, who while still a youth straightway followed Saint Boniface as he set out to convert Hesse and Thuringia, and afterwards, by Boniface’s own command, ruled the monastery of Saint Martin as abbot and governed the Church of Utrecht.
