At Amarante in Portugal, Blessed Gonsalvo, a priest of Braga, who after a long pilgrimage to the Holy Land entered the Order of Preachers, and then withdrawing into a hermitage, saw to the building of a bridge and was of service to the local people by his prayer and preaching.
