Saint Germanus of Auxerre

At Ravenna in Flaminia, the passing of Saint Germanus, bishop of Auxerre, who twice defended the faith of the Britons against the Pelagian heresy and, when he had gone to Ravenna to secure peace for the region of Armorica, was gloriously received by the emperors Valentinian and Galla Placidia, and there ascended to the heavenly kingdom.

Apud Ravénnam in Flamínia, tránsitus sancti Germáni; epíscopi Autissiodorénsis, qui Britannórum fidem a pelagiána héresi bis deféndit et, cum Ravénnam pro pace Armórica regiónis conciliánda perrexísset, a Valentiniáno et Galla Placídia Augüstis glorióse suscéptus est, ibique cazeléstia regna conscéndit.
