In the detention camp of Dachau near Munich in Bavaria in Germany, Blessed Emil Szramek, priest and martyr, who, a Pole by birth, in the storm of war was inhumanely deported to this camp for the faith of Christ which he had defended before his persecutors, and, tortured with torments, gave up his life.
