On the sea off Rochefort on the coast of France, the Blesseds Claude Joseph Jouffret de Bonnefont, of the Society of Saint Sulpice, Francis François, of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, and Lazarus Tiersot, of the Carthusian Order, priests and martyrs, who, during the French Revolution, were confined to a squalid prison ship and completed their martyrdom on account of their priesthood.
