Likewise at London, Blessed Thomas Woodhouse, priest of the Society of Jesus and martyr, who was ordained priest under the Catholic Queen Mary, and then, in the persecution of Queen Elizabeth I, was detained for more than twelve years for the faith. He devoted strenuous effort to reconciling his fellow prisoners with the Catholic Church, until he was crowned with martyrdom on the gallows at Tyburn.
