Saint Bernard of Menthon

On Mont-Joux in Valais, Saint Bernard of Menthon, priest, who, as canon and archdeacon of Aosta, lived for many years among the highest summits of the Alps. There he built a renowned monastery and established hospices for travelers on two mountains, which to this day are known by his name.
