Saint Barsimaeus

At Edessa in Osrhoene, Saint Barsimaeus, bishop, who is said to have been scourged for the faith of Christ under the emperor Decius; but, when the persecution was over, he was released from prison and devoted the rest of his life with utmost zeal to the governance of the Church committed to him.

Edéssze in Osrhoéne, sancti Barsimái, epíscopi, qui pro Christi fide sub Décio imperatóre verbéribus afféctus esse refértur, sed, exácta persecutióne, e cárcere dimíssus réliquum vitae tempus in Ecclesiae ipsi commíssz régimen summam impendiísse óperam.
