At Paris in France, the passion of the blessed martyrs John Mary du Lau d’Allemans, Francis Joseph and Peter Louis de la Rochefoucauld, bishops, and ninety-three companions, priests and religious. When they had refused the oath wickedly imposed upon the clergy during the turmoil of the French Revolution, they were herded into the convent of the Carmelites and there put to death for Christ in hatred of religion.
