In the city of Yongping in Hebei province of China, Saint John Wu Wenyin, martyr, who, a catechist, in the persecution stirred up by the followers of the “Yihetuan” sect, when he would not abandon the Christian faith for the pagans, was condemned to death.

In urbe Iomnienína in Hebe: Sinárum província, sancti Ioánnis Wu Wenyin, mártyris, qui, catechísta, in persecutióne a fautóribus sectae « Yihetuan» excitáta, cum a doctrína christiána ad éthnicos defícere noluísset, cápite damnátus est.
